With a 40-41 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens couldn’t stop the second heartbreak for the fans after the 25-27 divisional round loss to the Bills in the 2024 NFL playoffs. But the Ravens have started the season with a solid start, though. Although they have started the 2025 season with a 0-1 record, Lamar Jackson‘s team looks stronger with just a short hand on luck.
But while the season is heating up, the Ravens have a chance to equal the record while moving into Week 2 against Joe Flacco and the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Meanwhile, on Sept. 11, 2025, the Ravens organisation did not lose an opportunity to find happiness.
The franchise announced on Thursday that they are celebrating their 30 years of football in a unique way, which every fan can experience through their mobile phones. The Ravens franchise is strangely celebrating their 30th anniversary.
If we open the Ravens app on the phone, the homepage of the application says, “No. The Ravens app isn’t broken. We are throwing the app back to 1996 this week to celebrate 30 years of Ravens football. Not interested in reliving the past? No worries, we’ll be back to the regular design on Monday.” Their app shows an old version of the operating system, where ‘news’ and other sections were also seen to have changed with the older version.
30 years of Baltimore Ravens football
The Ravens organisation was established on February 9, 1996, with its headquarters in Owings Mills, Maryland. This was the year when the Dallas Cowboys won their 5th and latest Super Bowl. In the past 29 years of football history, the Ravens have clinched two Super Bowl victories. They won their first one in the 5th year of establishment, that is, in 2000. And the second one in 2012.
Along with them, the Ravens have won two AFC championships and eight (AFC North) divisional rounds. And proudly, they have appeared in the playoffs more than 50% of the years they have played in the NFL- 16 times. The franchise was then owned by Art Modell from 1996 to 2004. However, since Steve Bisciotti took over ownership, everything has changed in Baltimore football, particularly in terms of victories in the NFL. So far, seven Hall of Famers have been in the Ravens locker room, and it is no wonder that the future Hall of Famers are in the making.
Lamar Jackson’s era: A hope of a third Super Bowl for the Baltimore team
The No.8 on the Baltimore Ravens team, star quarterback Lamar Jackson, is the hope of a third Super Bowl, which Baltimore fans have been waiting for. The 2016 Heisman trophy winner, who was inducted into the NFL in 2018, has played eight NFL seasons and has already won two NFL MVP awards. But one of the stellar things missing on his resume is the Super Bowl win.
Though he has made six playoff appearances in his eight years of NFL career, this is expected to be his best year, which could see him lifting the Lombardi trophy. Let’s see if he can do it!
